OVERVIEW
The journeyman electrician is responsible for troubleshooting, building, installing, and maintaining various
industrial electrical work in a variety of conditions. This will include some automation work, operating
equipment, or other assigned duties. All employees must act with urgency, accountability and flexibility to
ensure Wescom’s core values are always followed.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Install cables, wires, cable tray, electrical panels, equipment and other electrical items on new oil well pads, upgrading of existing well pads, and maintaining existing sites.
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance calls using testers, experience, and best practices to ensure locations are performing as directed by client.
- Install control wiring as directed with Industrial Control Technicians.
- Plan workload, communicate, and direct such work to other electricians and apprentices on locations.
- Lead morning Job Site Safety Analysis meetings and act as Person in Charge on locations.
- Train, watch, and perform quality control on apprentice work.
- Comply with all state, federal, and tribal regulations related to licensing requirements for electrical.
- Communicate to employees, management and clients with cheerfulness and a willingness to help.
- Be an active safety role model and follow all safety requirements.

Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Journeyman Electrical License in state to be operated.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in a variety of construction settings.
- Ability to reach, stretch, and pull cables while bending, reaching, and twisting.
- Willingness and desire to teach others.
- Experience in industrial settings of at least 2 years with preference of electrical, instrumentation, automation, or controls.
Hours
- Expect 45 hours a week
- Start time: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday
- Occasional overtime as needed
