Marathon, Wescom, BLM Partner in Public Cleanup

A large group of people wearing blue shirts and hats pose outdoors on a rocky, desert-like terrain under a clear sky, suggesting a community or volunteer cleanup event.

Wescom Joins Local Partners for Public Lands Cleanup

Wescom employees teamed up with Marathon Oil and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for a large-scale cleanup at the La Cueva Trails in Carlsbad, NM. With more than 20 miles of trail enjoyed by hikers, bikers, and horseback riders, the area is a community treasure, but it also requires care and upkeep.

Together, the group of 46 volunteers removed old stoves, scrap metal, and piles of trash from the trailhead and surrounding areas. This effort not only restored the beauty of the desert but also created a safer, more welcoming environment for outdoor enthusiasts.

Wescom is proud to be part of this collaborative effort to preserve public lands and support the communities where we live and work!
