A Wescom WINS Safety Moment:
This Month’s Safety Topic: Rigging/Lifting
- Inspect rigging and lifting equipment before use. Conduct pre-use inspections on all lifting equipment.
- Use tag lines based on identified hazards in the workspace.
- Fall restraint is required in manlifts and buckets.
- Scissor lifts don’t require fall restraint unless the client specifically requires it, or the guardrails are inadequate (guardrails must be 42 inches high and have a mid-rail and toe rail).
Safety Observations (as of 7/8/2024):
As a team, we have had a total of 2,862 recorded safety observations. Below are the observations by location.
