Mid-Year Powder River Update 2026

A utility truck with a raised crane belonging to a Permian mechanical electrical contractor is parked in a lot. Two workers stand near the building while another stands on the truck. The sky is clear and blue.

As we reach the midpoint of the year, the Powder River region team at Wescom is proud to reflect on the progress we’ve made and the relationships we’ve continued to build. From large-scale energy infrastructure projects to community-focused initiatives, our commitment to quality, safety, and service remains stronger than ever.

We hit the ground running at the beginning of the year, securing a major project involving three prefabricated buildings that has continued to generate ongoing work throughout the region. Since then, our crews have remained busy delivering successful prefabricated building projects and complete site builds. These projects continue to showcase the expertise, dedication, and work ethic that define our team.

Building and supporting critical energy infrastructure is where we thrive. Whether working on state-level projects or supporting local operations, we take pride in providing solutions that keep Wyoming moving forward. This year, our team successfully completed a 10 MW facility expansion for a valued client, helping increase capacity and support future growth. We also completed 12.5 kV distribution system upgrades for a local college facility, further demonstrating our ability to deliver reliable, high-impact electrical solutions.

While industrial and utility projects remain at the core of our business, we are equally proud of the work we perform throughout our communities. From infrastructure improvements to stunning custom homes near the scenic Devils Tower area, our team has continued to demonstrate a commitment to enhancing the places where we live and work.

Giving back to our communities is just as important as the projects we build. Recently, the Powder River Region team had the opportunity to show appreciation for the Gillette Police Department by providing breakfast for their officers and staff. It was a small gesture to thank those who serve and protect our community every day.

As we look ahead to the second half of the year, we remain focused on delivering exceptional results for our clients while continuing to support the communities that support us. Thank you to our employees, clients, and partners for making this successful year possible. We look forward to finishing the year strong.
