Last week, Wescom had the privilege of connecting with other partners in the oil/gas industry at the Williston Petroleum Banquet in North Dakota. During this event, organizations highlighted the major growth and demand worldwide for petrochemicals. As we continue to work towards furthering our renewable energy sources and reducing carbon emissions, it is important to highlight the ongoing need for products requiring the work of our oil fields. It was noted during a presentation from Liberty that 14% of worldwide oil demand and 8% of natural gas demand goes towards petrochemicals (as seen below). With COVID and the medical industry playing a major part in our day-to-day lives, it is important to note that it would not be where it is today without help from the hardworking men and women in the oil/gas industry!
